Backend Developer
About the position
The Backend Developer will design and maintain reliable services that support customer applications, internal workflows, and data-driven business processes. The position involves API development, database work, application security, testing, and performance improvements. The developer will work closely with frontend engineers and product teams to ensure that services remain dependable as usage grows. This position is part of Jakarta Commerce Network's e-commerce operations in Indonesia. The successful candidate will work with colleagues and stakeholders connected to the company's Bandung operations and will be expected to contribute to dependable day-to-day service delivery while following established processes and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain APIs and backend services.
- Design reliable database structures and data-access workflows.
- Monitor application performance and investigate production issues.
- Implement automated tests and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with frontend and product teams on new features.
Qualifications
- Experience developing production backend applications.
- Strong understanding of APIs, databases, and server-side programming.
- Experience with at least one modern backend programming language.
Requirements
